New accessible toilets have been installed in a popular park.
The Changing Places toilet replaces the rundown facilities in Central Park, near Cranford Road, in Dartford after funding was awarded last year from the Department for Levelling Up.
The toilet offers an array of specialist equipment, including a height-adjustable changing bench, full-length mirror, ceiling track hoist system, peninsular toilet, drop-down rails and vertical grab rails and a colostomy bag shelf.
Leader of the Council Jeremy Kite said: “I’m flushed with pride that a day out in Central Park can now be easy and convenient for all residents. As a council we are committed to making the borough accessible to all and this is another step towards that.”
The toilets next to the Buccaneer Bay play area in the park have also undergone a recent refurbishment.
The facilities were closed last month to be replaced with facilities with stronger fittings which are easier to clean.
