A noisy neighbour who was a nuisance for residents had his music equipment seized by police.
Dartford council officers headed to St Albans Road with police on Wednesday, August 14, to take the individual’s equipment after being given an entry warrant.
The offender was persistently playing loud music which could be heard by neighbours and people in the street throughout the day and at night and became “very upsetting” for neighbours.
Dartford council spokesman Oliver Bagshaw explained what happened, saying: “This individual had been under investigation by the council’s environmental health team and a noise abatement notice was served in November 2017.
“However, the behaviour continued and was having a detrimental effect on the community. The council’s community safety team subsequently took enforcement action by way of a serving a community protection notice on the individual which, again, was ignored resulting in the council applying for an injunction at court to curtail the problem.
“Following a successful application for an entry warrant by the environmental health team, council officers supported by police seized music equipment from the property as part of the legal action it has taken against this individual in order to provide relief to neighbours and reduce community tension in the area.”
