A nurse has thanked a kind woman who paid for her petrol.
Chloe Moss, who works as an intensive care nurse at Darent Valley Hospital near Dartford, had finished a 12-and-a-half hour-long shift when she went to get petrol at Asda in Greenhithe on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old was at the petrol station at around 7.40pm and tried to pay for her petrol using Apple Pay.
After the card reader failed to read her phone several times, she was asked to fill out a form to agree to come back and settle the bill within 24 hours.
Chloe informed staff she wouldn't be able to return the next day because she would be doing another 12-and-a-half hour-long shift.
She returned to her car to try and find some money but when she returned, she found a woman had already paid for her.
Chloe said: "She said, 'I just wanted to pay for you, looks like you've had a terrible shift. Let me pay.'
"I just cried all the way home, it was only £40.
"A man was driving and it was a woman who got out the car and showed me her Apple Pay.
"I offered to transfer the money and she said, 'No I wanted to pay for you.'"
Chloe's father Gez posted an appeal on Facebook on her behalf, which has been shared 2,300 times.
In the post, he said: "The generosity of that couple is amazing and I couldn’t thank you both enough for making my daughter's day.
"She would absolutely love to thank you personally for being so selfless."
Chloe, who is from Wouldham, praised her fellow staff at Darent Valley for their support and hard work.
