NHS staff were handed a meal as they were paid a special visit by an Olympic gold medallist.
Dame Kelly Holmes visited Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford today to distribute 150 meals to those working on the frontline.
As a mental health advocate the athlete also spent time talking to staff while observing social distancing rules.
The middle distance runner was keen to find out more about how they were coping and the increased pressured place on them during the pandemic.
She said: "I want to send my whole hearted thanks to everyone who is working tirelessly to support, care and help those most at need.
"I was extremely humbled talking to staff from Darent Valley Hospital and also being able to play a small part in helping to support our key workers."
She expressed her gratitude before passing on messages of thanks from the public.
The meals were donated courtesy of Lewis Deakin from healthy meal prep and Rochester-based company, The Body Kitchen.
As a business it usually targets gym goers and athletes but has teamed up with Kelly to deliver food to NHS workers.
It has set up a fundraising page where it will be donating one meal for every £4 it raises.
