More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold for this year’s panto at the Orchard theatre.

Tickets for Dick Whittington are being snapped up, even though the cast has yet to be announced.

It comes after another successful run in December and January, when Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood played Captain Hook in Peter Pan.

Based on the number of performances, ticket sales were comparable with the previous pantomime, Cinderella, which starred Bradley Walsh.

Theatre director Chris Glover said: “We were thrilled to present such a top quality production once again, selling to packed-out audiences across the run.

“We have had really positive feedback across our audiences and over 10,000 tickets have already been sold for our next pantomime, Dick Whittington.”

The cast of Dick Whittington is to be announced soon. It runs from Saturday, December 12 until Sunday, January 3, 2016.
