A paramedic got a nasty surprise when he returned home to find his car had been stolen and then just 12 days later, his partner's vehicle was taken too.
London Ambulance Service worker Alan Gurling reported his Ford Fiesta missing from Squires Way, Joydens Wood, near Dartford, shortly before midnight on December 11.
It contained his uniform including a hi-vis jacket and some recent certificates.
The incident was reported to police but unfortunately CCTV images captured by the couple proved inconclusive.
Then just 12 days later – and two days before Christmas – his partner Rachel Fisher, who also works as a paramedic, returned from a long night shift to find her own car, a Ford Kuga, had been taken.
It also contained vital items needed by the blue service worker, including her paramedic bags and university work.
The vehicle was later found on Boxing Day dumped in Atlee Drive, Dartford.
Alan, who recently received a good conduct medal for 20 years service to the NHS, has since recovered some of his items after they were found discarded in Swanscombe.
Police say inquiries are ongoing to locate his missing Fiesta.
Now the couple have launched an appeal for information on Facebook.
Ms Fisher said: "Fuming is not the word.
"It does seem to be happening a lot," she added. "I expect it’s the same people, would be great to get them caught and put a stop to it."
