Part of the Dartford Crossing is closing this weekend.
National Highway has confirmed the QEII bridge will be shut for overnight resurfacing work.
As a result it is advising drivers to plan ahead and leave extra time for their journeys.
The closure is taking place between 10pm on Saturday, November 25, to 5am on Sunday, November 26.
A National Highways spokesman said: “We will undertake safety inspections and general maintenance on the QEII bridge at the Dartford Crossing.
“The closure will carry out some additional resurfacing work within lanes 1, 2, and 3 to help keep journeys safe.”
While the bridge is closed, drivers travelling southbound on the M25/A282 clockwise (heading towards the bridge) will be diverted via the crossing’s east bore tunnel.
Most vehicles travelling northbound on the M25/A282 anti-clockwise (heading towards the tunnels) will still be able to use the crossing’s west bore tunnel as usual.
However, an alternative diversion for vehicles between 4.8m (15‘-9”) and 5.0m (16’-6”) high will be in place via the M25 clockwise.
