The devastated family of a popular GP who was hit and killed by a van while walking with his wife have paid a heartfelt tribute to him.
Dr Wilson Fok, 59, died at the scene of the accident in Dartford on New Year's Eve.
Today, his wife - who was not hurt - and children described him as "an amazing father and a real family man".
In a statement, the family said: "He was a loving husband, wonderful father, loyal friend and well respected GP.
"Dad was an amazing father and real family man. Our house was always full of love and laughter – especially with his terrible 'dad jokes'!
"But he taught us the same values he believed in, making us the children we are today.
"He has a huge family contingent in Hong Kong and regularly went back to visit; he loved tennis and played regularly with his merry band of tennis friends; he was learning French; enjoyed sailing and went ballroom-dancing every week with Mum.
"Dad had been a GP for 30 years serving patients of Erith and neighbouring areas.
"He was an excellent doctor, a true gentleman, very courteous, helpful and above all showed great care for the well-being of his patients.
"It has been evident over the last few days how sorely missed Dad will be to all his family, friends, colleagues and patients."
Dr Fok worked at Northumberland Heath Medical Centre in Erith.
