A pensioner has died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the wheel and crashing his car into the central reservation of a busy road.
The elderly man collapsed while driving in Crayford Road, Crayford, near the junction with Acorn Road just after 10am.
Police and paramedics were called, with the car wedged over the concrete barrier.
He was taken to a south London hospital but was pronounced dead two hours later. His next of kin has been informed.
Officers from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command are on scene and will investigate.
No other vehicles were believed to have been involved.
