A passenger had to be cut free from a car following a crash with a lorry.
Emergency services were called to Central Road in Dartford at lunchtime following the collision.
Firefighters were sent to rescue one person who was trapped inside the car.
The incident happened at about 1.30pm and paramedics were also on scene to help two casualties.
The lorry driver received first aid from fire crews who also gave them oxygen treatment for shock.
Both people were passed over into the care of the ambulance service.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and used the jaws of life to access the trapped passenger.
Firefighters left the scene at 1.50pm.
Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "Ambulance crews attended the scene and one person was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Darent Valley Hospital. Injuries reported included back pain."
He confirmed a second patient received treatment at the scene but was not taken to hospital.
