Plan competes for television cash award

A project designed to reduce car journeys and encourage pedestrians and cyclists could go to a TV vote in December yielding a £600,000 award for Dartford if successful.

Dartford's riverside proposal is one of 79 community-based schemes across Britain hoping to bid for cash in ITV's 'The Big Lottery Living Landmarks' programme.

A decision on which projects are set to go before the television vote will be made later this month.
