Plans have been put forward to turn a large detached house into a children’s care home.
If approved, the centre would cater for youngsters with emotional and behavioural disorders in Hedge Place Road, Greenhithe.
According to plans submitted to Dartford council the home will have four children, aged between 10 and 17, placed in its care on behalf of Rumman Care Ltd.
In a supporting statement, the firm indicated staffing would vary but there would generally be no more than three staff on shift at any one time 24/7, although it adds a maximum number of four staff could be on-site if needed.
Visitors will be professionals such as social workers, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) workers and advocates, and on average there will be one to two visits a week.
No staff would live on-site but there would be at least one waking night member of staff and another sleep-in worker.
A waking night support worker stays awake through the night to support those when they need it most.
They can also help during the early mornings and evenings.
The government describe sleep-in shifts as “those where workers are required to sleep at a residence overnight with the possibility of waking to provide care”.
There is also parking for five cars at the site.

To date several letters of objections have been lodged by neighbours.
Concerns centre around the use of a quiet residential road where families and retirees live for a commercial venture.
It is also argued the proposed home could increase noise and reduce the number of parking spots available.
