Police have thanked the public for their help in tracking down a missing man in Dartford.

Robert Baker, 64, was last seen in the Cotton Lane area yesterday afternoon and an appeal was launched this morning to find him.

This afternoon officers confirmed he had been found safe and well.

Police in Gravesham tweeted: "High risk missing person Robert Baker located safe and well. Thanks to everyone for your assistance."

A police spokesman later confirmed he had been found.
