TWO men and a 17-year-old schoolboy who died in separate road crashes in the county have been named by Kent Police.
The two men were both killed within hours of each other in North Kent on Sunday, February 11.
Ian Cumming, 36, from Parsonage Manor Way, Belvedere, died after the VW Golf he was driving collided with a roundabout and overturned on the A296 close to the Bluewater shopping centre at Greenhithe, near Dartford.
About three hours later Bradley Haynes, 30, from Claremont Road, Hextable, near Swanley, died when a silver MG sports car crashed in Birchwood Road, Hextable.
Post mortems have been carried out and coroners have opened and adjourned inquests into both deaths.
The schoolboy who died was Adam Scott, a sixth form student at Barton Court Grammar School in Canterbury.
He died in hospital on Friday, February 9, five days after his black Ford Fiesta was involved in a collision with a Renault Megane in Chestfield Road, near Radfall.
Adam came from Little Paddocks, Chestfield, near Whitstable. He was studying business, media and ICT.
Paying tribute to him, the school’s deputy head teacher, Adrian Plowman, said: “Adam was good-humoured, kind, caring and personable.
“He was able and intelligent and could apply himself to a wide range of situations using a wide range of skills. He was a lively lad and we are shocked and saddened at his loss.”
Adam’s friends have created a video in his memory which they have posted on their myspace.com websites.
A tribute posted on Adam’s own website by a friend says how many happy memories he or she has of Adam and that he will never be forgotten.
The driver of the Renault Megane, a 46-year-old man from Whitstable, suffered minor injuries.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to come forward. Anyone who saw the collision or saw either of the cars before the crash is urged to contact police on 01622 798538.
