An investigation has been launched after a group of men broke into a private lake near a castle to fish illegally.

A fence was reportedly damaged at Lullingstone Country Park in Eynsford in order to gain access.

It happened at around 9.20pm on Sunday May 21 and it is understood five men were involved.

Police say enquiries are underway into the circumstances.
