Police have released the descriptions of three balaclava-clad men who raided a post office making off with about £2,000.

The robbery took place on Monday (January 9) at Bean Post Office in Southfleet Road.

Three men, wearing dark clothing - possibly boiler suits, balaclavas and white trainers, went into the shop at approximately 2.50pm.

They threatened a member of staff, 61, who suffered cuts and bruises. Then one of the men went behind the shop counter and took about £2,000 cash and some cigarettes.

The three men left in a grey BMW, driven by a fourth man.

One wore a pair of gloves - one pink and one grey.

Two of the men are thought to be white.
