A car crashed into a pedestrian before three men jumped out and beat him up.

Police were called to Heath Street at 7.55pm yesterday.

It was reported the silver car hit the man before the men in the vehicle came out and assaulted him.

He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital suffering from injuries to his face and shoulders.

It is not believed to have been a random attack.
