A teenager from Dartford will perform at the Royal Albert Hall and have a single released to raise money for this year's Poppy Appeal.
Gravesend-born Bethany Davey, 15, was among 1,000 hopefuls wanting to join the all-girl group The Poppy Girls.
All of those picked have fathers serving in the Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force.
Bethany's father Dean, 44, previously served as a regular soldier in the 9th/12th Royal Lancers and is now serving in the Army Reserves with the 151 (London) Transport Regiment, Royal Logistics Corps.
The Dartford Girls Grammar School pupil lives with mother Lisa, 44, and 12-year-old brother Kiran.
She said: "I've been singing all my life. However, up until the age of 11 I was always too shy to sing in front of family, let alone an audience.
"I think the reason I have been singing for so long isn't just because music is a passion of mine, but also because I can't see myself doing anything else but singing in the future.
"Whether it’s singing to audiences of thousands, or teaching others to sing - as long as I’m singing, I'll always be happy."
She added: "My great grandmother used to sing in concert halls in Glasgow. My granddad thinks he can sing, I think he's a lot better at playing the violin."
The Poppy Girls are Megan Adams, Florence Ransom, Alice Milburn, Bethany and Charlotte Mellor and they will perform in front of the Queen at the prestigious Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, November 9.
Their debut single The Call (No Need To Say Goodbye) is released on Monday, November 11.
Proceeds from the sale will go toward The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.
