A Post Office branch will be temporarily closing for seven weeks from tonight.
The Joydens Wood branch in Dartford will be undergoing a major change and close its services from Monday, January 3 at 5.30pm.
The building work will see the Postmaster move the counter to the front and fully refurbishing the retail side of the shop in Birchwood Parade, Woodside Drive, Dartford.
Sam Coe, Post Office network provision lead, said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.
"The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily."
The refurbishment is expected to take around seven weeks with the branch reopening on Wednesday, February 23 at 9am.
The closest alternative branches for customers are Hextable Post Office located 1.4 miles away or Swanley Post Office which is 2.5 miles away from the Joydens Wood branch.
