Postman attacked on his rounds

A YOUNG postman was assaulted by a thug wearing a black balaclava while delivering mail.

Police say the incident happened as the 17-year-old postman walked onto Laurel Close, Dartford. He was pushed against a wall by the man who demanded he hand over his phone and wallet.

The victim pushed the offender away but he was then punched in the stomach. The attacker then ran off. Police say nothing was stolen during the incident.

The offender is described as a white man, about 6ft tall, of medium build. Besides the balaclava, he was also wearing a blue Nike jacket.
