A rugby club has received a cash boost from one of the county's largest power suppliers.
Swanley RFC will be able to buy new sports equipment after it won a £250 grant as part of UK Power Network's Team Sport Award.
The club was nominated by Michael Horwood, who is part of the committee for the team as its community advisor, and is also the stakeholder engagement and public affairs manager for the company.
He said: "Many sports clubs, particularly close contact sports, have struggled this year as there have been no matches, and therefore membership subs have dropped, yet the clubs still have outgoings to fund.
"The club is struggling financially so this cash award means as we enter a new season, we can ensure we have the best kit and equipment."
The UK Power Network's scheme was designed to encourage staff to volunteer in the community and is aimed at promoting healthy living, teamwork and developing sports opportunities.
