Manager Tony Burman says the pressure is off his Dartford side and they can relax during their two games in four days against two of Blue Square Bet South’s top sides.
Dartford put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone with a 1-0 win at Weston on Tuesday night which made it four league wins on the spin and 13 points from a possible 15.
Burman said: "I am pleased with the form. It is credit to the players and supporters. It was a little bit doom and gloom a while back but the response on and off the field has been good.
"The next target is we want to catch the sides above us, Weston and Bishop’s Stortford and we have four games in hand over them."
Burman’s side visit runaway leaders Braintree on Saturday before the visit of promotion-chasing Welling on Tuesday night.
He said: "We have got two tough games which is why it was important to get the win on Tuesday.
"We go in on a high and there is no pressure on us, having won the other day we can go out there and enjoy ourselves."
Lee Noble serves the final game of his ban on Saturday but Sheringham begins a three-match ban against his former club on Tuesday.
Striker Jon Main should return from a calf injury at the weekend while Lee Burns could also be in contention following a hamstring injury.
