Comedian Al Murray will perform in Dartford on the day he bids to defeat Ukip leader Nigel Farage and become a Kent MP.
The Pub Landlord is booked to perform his One Man, One Guvnor show at the Orchard Theatre on general election night on Thursday, May 7.
His performance was thrown into doubt this week after he announced he will stand against Nigel Farage in South Thanet for the newly-formed Free United Kingdom Party.
Cattleprod tweeted: "Hang on. I think I've got tickets to see Al Murray in Dartford on May 7th!"
While Jason Littlewood posted: "@almurray Looks like you'll have to re-arrange your Dartford gig, it's election day!!!"
But fans have been assured the show will go ahead as planned.
The Orchard Theatre's marketing manager Michelle May said: "Al is 100% committed to his Spring One Man, One Guvnor Tour and will be going ahead with the Dartford show on May 7 and will travel onto South Thanet after."
So far, Mr Murray's manifesto includes making South Thanet the new capital of the UK, and setting up a "demilitarised zone" between North and South Thanet.
In an election video, he tells voters: "I pledge that the UK will leave Europe by 2025 and the edge of the Solar System by 2050. Common Market sense.
"In the meantime Greece to be bought and operated by Kent County Council. Couldn't be worse. Someone to do the bins at least."
"Let it be known that like many of the Parliamentary hopefuls in the forthcoming election, I have no idea where South Thanet is - but did that stop Margaret Thatcher from saving the Falkland Islands? No."
Mr Farage welcomed Mr Murray's inclusion in the race, tweeting: "the more, the merrier!"
The seat is currently held by Conservative Laura Sandys MP, who is standing down.
Also contesting the seat is Medway councillor Conservative Craig Mackinlay, Labour’s Will Scobie and Liberal Democrat Russ Timpson.
Reacting to the news, Mr Mackinlay said: "I’m sort of dumbfounded, it’s becoming a bit of a circus. I don’t think anybody could take it as serious.
"This is a bit of a slight and a mickey-take out of Ukip but it will add to the fun down there and I look forward to meeting him."
Mr Murray has already had plenty of voter feedback - his show includes a section where he asks his audience to form a people's parliament and question him on his manifesto.
