A busy pub has been reopened after a man was stabbed outside on the street.
Police officers and an ambulance crew attended Spital Street in Dartford and the casualty is being taken to a London hospital.
A police spokesman confirmed the assault and said enquiries are ongoing to identify the attacker.
Armed officers were spotted on a London bound train, at Sidcup, questioning a man in connection to the stabbing.
No arrests were made.
A staff member of the Flying Boat in Spital Street confirmed at the time that the pub was closed, but it has since reopened its doors for Saturday evening trading.
She would not say what prompted the closure or whether there was a stabbing inside or outside of the pub.
Reports of a "violent incident" emerged shortly afterwards on social media.
A Kentonline member of staff who was at the scene, said the stabbing happened outside but it is understood both men had been in the pub beforehand.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 4.45pm today to a report of an assault in Spital Street, Dartford.
"One man suffered serious injuries consistent with stab wounds and was treated by ambulance staff at the scene before being taken to a London hospital.
"Officers attended and are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify the offender."
The Flying Boat is a JD Wetherspoon pub. A spokesman for the chain has also been contacted for more details.
