A community celebration of international food, music and dance returned for a third year.
Despite heavy showers hundreds of residents turned out for the annual Ebbsfleet Fusion Festival in Platinum Jubilee Park on Saturday (July 6).
An array of colourful performances took place, including African Reggae act, Tanga Pasi who covered Bob Marley hits, music from brass band, Crocodile Style and renditions of Adele and Sam Smith by vocalist Adelina Antonovici.
There was also entertainment from across the world as Circus Raj, a troupe of of dancers, musicians and acrobats from Rajasthan, India performed throughout the day.
The celebration was hosted by arts charity, Cohesion Plus in collaboration with with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and Arts Council England.
Local dignitaries, including the Mayor of Dartford Cllr Andy Lloyd, and Leader of Dartford council Jeremy Kite attended to show their support.
The extravaganza also offered a range of international cuisine, from Afro-Caribbean curries and jerk chicken to Indian samosas and kebab wraps.
Artistic director of the arts charity, Gurvinder Sandher said: “We are so incredibly proud that we were able to put on such a fantastic event despite the horrible weather conditions.
“We are also grateful to all the local residents who came out to support us when the rain threatened a washout and we made sure they were repaid for their efforts with a wonderful day of activities, food and drink which were provided by local micro-businesses and residents.
“Our aim was always to put on a fun family family-themed event that at its heart had arts, culture wellbeing at its core – I think we had more than achieved that and we are grateful to our partners for all their support and encouragement.”
