Fans of The Wedding Singer were treated to a real life marriage proposal on stage at Dartford's Orchard Theatre last night.
Perhaps inspired by the romantic story line between main characters wedding singer Robbie Hart and waitress Julia Sullivan, audience member Kevin Durham arranged to join the cast onstage after the performance with unsuspecting girlfriend Veronika Chromková.
In front of a packed theatre he got down on one knee and popped the question.

The cast and audience cheered when she said yes.
The pair are said to be regular visitors to the theatre in Home Gardens.
The Wedding Singer is a musical comedy based on the film of the same name, which was released in 1998 and stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
Julia, played by Barrymore in the film and X Factor finalist Cassie Compton in the stage show, is set to marry a rich businessman when she falls for Robbie, played by Sandler in the film and Jon Robyns on stage.
The stage show also features X Factor runner up Ray Quinn, Roxanne Pallett, who played Jo in soap Emmerdale, and Ruth Madoc, who shot to fame in the eighties due to her role in BBC comedy series Hi-De-Hi!
Jamie Leadbeatter, marketing and sales manager at The Orchard Theatre, said: "The proposal was a magical touch to an end of a superb show, everyone left smiling as the audience exploded into lots of cheers, and brought lots of members of the audience to tears."
