A reality TV star rammed a stolen BMW into a pursuing police car while banned from the roads.
But Jacques Fraser walked free from Maidstone Crown Court having been handed a suspended jail sentence.
The muscular 30-year-old, who has been pictured working out with SAS Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton, was previously told by a judge there would have to be a "most extraordinary" reason not to send him to prison.
He admitted dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking at a previous hearing following the events of September 21, 2018.
The court heard how the former boyfriend of The Only Way is Essex's Nicole Bass led police on a chase through the lanes from Betsham, a village near Southfleet, to the A2 slip road near Ebbsfleet where he crashed the 4 Series 425d.
The car had been stolen a month before but Fraser, of Chalcombe Road, Abbeywood, claimed he did not know that.
Before the crash he had rammed a police car and in total he caused £32,000 damage to both vehicles and a fence.
When stopped, the disqualified driver – who already had two convictions for dangerous driving – made a full admission to arresting officers.
The CPS initially failed to charge Fraser and only in 2019 issued a summons.
Fraser, who is a father and cares for his mother, was today given a 15-month jail sentence suspended for two years and banned from driving for three years.
He will also have to do 250 hours of unpaid work, pay £1,000 in compensation to a police officer, £300 to mend a fence and £500 court costs.
The court had previously heard how he was already paying back the bill for the damage.
Ex On the Beach is an MTV reality series where young former lovers meet up, usually near a stretch of coastline and usually following an alleged period of infidelity. Fraser and Miss Bass appeared on the show in 2017.
