Residents are facing two months of consecutive road closures due to gas works.
Numerous roads in the Knockhall area of Greenhithe are set to be shut between October and December to allow engineers from utility company SGN to complete repairs.
Knockhall Chase will be closed between the junction with Eynsford Road and Park Terrace and Eynsford Road will be sealed off at the junction with Knockhall Chase between October 21 and 29. Diversions will be in place.
At the same time, there will be a month-long temporary closure affecting nearby Abbey Road and Alexander Road, starting on October 23.
Abbey Road will be closed between the junctions of Eynsford Road and Alexander Road and Alexander Road will be closed between the junctions of Abbey Road and Knockhall Road.
Although efforts will be made to maintain access for residents, there will be no access to general traffic while Alexander Road is shut.
Work is estimated to be completed by November 24.
Anyone travelling to a primary school, nursery school and community centre by car could be affected by the closures.
Between November 13 and December 22, two more roads will also be closed with no alternative routes.
Lane Avenue is to be shut at the junction with Knockhall Road and Austen Close will be sealed off at the junction with Lane Avenue.
SGN has applied for road closures to ensure the safety of both the public and its workforce while work is undertaken.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
