DARTFORD drivers can finally secure their discounts at the Dartford Crossing when a new customer service centre opens next week.

The office, which opens on Monday, will handle applications for the governmnet's local discount scheme, which will let the borough's motorists use the tolls for just 20p when the charges go up to £1.50 for cars in November.

The centre, in South Orbital Way, just off the A282 at junction 1a, will be open on weekdays from 8.30am to 7.30pm this month.
