Primary pupils from Dartford who support green travel schemes have been recognised for their efforts.
Children from Beech Class at Joydens Wood Infant School Primary who take part in Walk on Wednesday were chosen as the district champions.
More than 150 schools take part in Wow, Active Bug and Green Footsteps schemes and on challenge day classes with the highest number of walkers are named winners and receive certificates and Leeds Castle vouchers.
Supporters of the schemes announced the winners at the castle.
Margaret and Nicholas Brook, from Independent Music Productions, said they were pleased to attend the presentation and share the children’s success.
Bel UK’s Elizabeth Carr said: “Bel is delighted to see the children rewarded for their commitment to green travel and the positive impact they are making to the environment.
The Kent County Council-led schemes are supported by the KM Charity Team, Bel UK, Specsavers, Denne, Golding Homes, Southern Water, Orbit South, Three R’s Teacher Recruitment, Cyclepods UK, Eurostar, Leeds Castle, Independent Music Productions, Jelf Insurance, P&0 Ferries and The Co-operative Group.
