POLICE have appealed for information following a road rage incident in which a pedestrian was stuck by a motorist on a filling station forecourt.
The drama unfolded as the 21-year old victim walked across Princes Road in Dartford to visit an Esso garage.
A silver car drove quite fast up the road, causing the victim to jump back onto a traffic island. The victim shouted at the car driver to slow down and then went into the garage.
The car then appeared to stop at some traffic lights. It was then reversed back down the road into the garage where it hit the man, causing cuts and bruises.
The car came out of the garage and drove back into it again, attempting to drive at the man a second time. At this point the car was driven out of the garage towards the A2.
PC Mary Lawrence, the officer investigating the incident said: “The victim escaped with only minor injuries although he has been left very shaken by this incident.”
The car is described as either a black or silver Vectra. The driver of the car was a white man, aged between 20-25, of medium build with a shaven head. He was not wearing a top.
The incident happened on Sunday, September 4, between 1.45pm and 1.55pm. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Mary Lawrence at North Kent Police on 01474 565167 quoting reference 19432 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – calls to this number are free and you may be eligible for a reward.
