A sewage tanker that crashed in the early hours of this morning was still causing delays in Dartford into the evening.

The tanker crashed into the embankment, blocking the east bound carriageway of Bob Dunn Way between Burnham Road and Joyce Green Lane.

Police were called to the accident at 4am, but recovery work was only completed just before 7pm.

No other vehicles were involved in the smash and no one is believed to have been injured.
