It will be shutting its doors permanently from Sunday (February 16) due to redevelopment plans.

This includes the opening of a new Greggs bakery.

In a sign placed outside the newsagents, the owners wrote: “We would like to say thank you to all our customers and staff for their support over the last 30 years.”

Several customers have taken to social media to express their sadness at the closure, with one saying: “What a shame”.

Another woman added: “The couple that run it are lovely. There’s always a queue, so it can’t be down to lack of customers.”

The BeeZoo espresso bar next door is also permanently shut.

Today, a spokesman for Southeastern confirmed a Greggs is “going in at Dartford following a refurbishment of two units at the station”.

An opening date has not been revealed.
