Crews wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames. No casualties were reported.

It is currently against the pandemic regulations to hold gatherings of more than six people at home or in your garden.

However, if families are celebrating this Bonfire Night, the fire service is encouraging them to do it safely.

It advised to never leave bonfires unattended and to avoid lighting them in windy conditions.

Once you have finished with them, be sure to dampen it down fully with water making sure the fire is out and the surroundings are safe before leaving.

Fire crews urged the public to keep bonfires away from buildings, trees, foliage and overhanging branches.
