A young girl has been hit by a car in Dartford this afternoon.

The crash happened at 3.45pm in Green Road at the junction with Hill Rise Close.

The air ambulance was called and the girl, who was conscious following the crash, was treated at the scene before being taken to a London hospital by road.

Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital suffering from shock.
