Second half fightback earns Wings draw

Hayes 1 Welling 1

ADRIAN PENNOCK pocketed his first point as Welling manager thanks to Tommy Tyne's late header at Hayes on Saturday.

Tyne met Ian Wiles' left-wing cross in the 87th minute to gain a deserved draw for the Wings.

Having fallen behind to Kieran Knight's second-minute goal, Welling struggled to get going in the first half with only Paul Booth impressing.

But they got their game together after the break and Chris Moore hit the woodwork before Tyne struck the equaliser.

Pennock said: "It was a much better second-half performance as we didn't come out of the blocks in the first half."
