Both casualties were taken to hospital.

The motorcyclist suffered an ankle injury and the driver of the van suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police, paramedics and two crews from Dartford fire station were on the scene.

Motorists experienced long delays, as the road was shut for almost two hours.

It reopened at around 8.35pm, although Highways England said traffic was clearing slowly.

A police spokesman said yesterday: "Officers are currently at the scene along with SECAMB. Injuries have been reported.

"A partial closure is currently in place on the slip road while the incident is dealt with."

It comes after motorists on a different stretch of the M25 were held up by a crash.
