Heath Street in Dartford is due to be closed for seven days due to roadworks.

Kent County Council says the road will be closed in both directions due to Thames Water works, from Monday November 29.

The council says the closure will be in force for seven days or until the works have been completed.

During the first phase of works, the alternative route for any through traffic is via A225 Lowfield Street, Instone Road, Highfield Road and A225 Lowfield Street, B2174 Princes Road, Highfield Road South.

For the second phase the alternative route for any through traffic is via Highfield Road South, B2174 Princes Road, A225 Lowfield Street.
