A crash involving a motorcycle near the Dartford Tunnel caused huge delays today.

A severe travel warning was issued and vehicles were initially stopped from entering both bores of tunnel.

The recovery work was completed just after 3pm, according to Highways England.

South East Coast Ambulance service was called to the scene and arrived shortly after 2pm.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by another party but was breathing and conscious at the scene.
