A six-vehicle crash blocked the A2 for around 30 minutes.

A Lamborghini sports car was among the cars involved in the pile-up, which happened London-bound at Watling Street.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 6pm.

Highways officials said one of the cars had spun around and was facing the wrong direction.

The road eventually reopened after the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.
