Travel warning as M25 junction 1A slip road near Dartford Crossing reopens after flooding

A motorway slip road has reopened after previously being affected by flooding.

Motorists faced long delays and queues near the Dartford Crossing following heavy rainfall this morning.

Traffic heading anti-clockwise on the M25 towards the tunnel was affected by the temporary closure of an exit slip road at junction 1A.

But now the entry slip road has reopened with all delays cleared.

At 10am this morning National Highways posted: “The M25 anti-clockwise entry slip road at J1A is closed due to flooding following heavy rainfall.

“Service providers are in attendance.

“Please allow for extra time for your journey. Thank you for your patience.

Police have also issued a travel warning via social media.

It said: “Please do not travel unless in an emergency. High winds are causing numerous incidents across the country.

“All services are working hard to keep those that are choosing to travel safe.”
