Motorists were being warned of very slow traffic on the M25 after an accident.
The incident happened anticlockwise between junction 2 for the A2 Darenth Interchange and junction 1B for Princes Road in Dartford.
The vehicles involved were quickly moved onto the hard shoulder.
The road has returned to normal.
