Dartford twice went ahead at Southport in the Blue Square Bet Premier but had to settle for just a point.
A penalty for the hosts seven minutes from time levelled up the scores at 2-2.
The Darts were looking to bounce back from their two-legged FA Trophy semi-final defeat to Grimsby and searching for a first away win in the league since winning at Luton in mid-November.
Harry Crawford, pictured, put the Darts ahead after 30 minutes, but Southport levelled the scores just before the break when an error from keeper Marcus Bettinelli allowed Andy Owens to pounce.
Dartford took the lead again on 59 minutes as Tom Bonner tucked the ball home after Danny Harris’ header had been cleared off the line.
But Southport hit back once more, this time from the penalty spot, when Shaun Whalley netted after he was fouled by Jon Wallis.
Darts manager Tony Burman said: “We’re gutted. We need to cut out the silly mistakes, especially when we go in front, but we haven’t been played off the park all season."
The point saw Darts stay 12th in the Blue Square Premier.
