A charity football match has taken place to help raise money for organisations which helped a dying teenager in her final months.
North Kent College planned the students versus staff match in memory of former student Jordan Dawes, who died in February following a battle with cancer.
The 18-year-old Swanley resident was an aspiring goalkeeper and inspiration behind the Jordan Dawes Trophy, which will now be an annual event.
Hundreds of people celebrated the life of the former Kent Football United goalkeeper
The footy mad teens’ friends helped organise the game to try and raise more than £1,200 for the ellenor hospice charity, which helped care for Jordan.
The well-loved footballer's team announced her death on Twitter on February 22.
The heartbreaking post described her as a "talented, polite, hard-working woman".
And one of the best goalkeepers in the world also has paid tribute to her.
Manchester United's goalie, David De Gea, wrote a heart felt message on Twitter.
He wrote: "Rest in peace Jordan. I am sure you will keep on making saves up in heaven"
The football star had previously given Jordan a pair of gloves and a shirt.
Her family also paid tribute to the talented teenager when her mum Michelle Gurr Dawes posted a tribute on Facebook.
She said: "We are heartbroken beyond heartbroken and I don't know how we are ever going to continue without our beautiful girl she had soo much life to live."
The charity football match was played on Friday last week.
The fun match raised more than £1,700 on the day.
Curriculum manager, performance and sports coaching teacher at the college, James Butterfill, said: “On Friday we celebrated the life of Jordan Dawes, we could think of no better way of doing this than a charity football match in her honour.
“Students and team mates of Jordan combined to take on a staff team for the right to be named the inaugural winners of the Jordan Dawes Trophy, this will be an annual event to recognise the outstanding contribution Jordan made to everyone at North Kent College.
"We were joined by her family who presented the trophy at the end of the match.”
