Tips on staying safe during the Christmas party season will be on offer at a special event in Dartford town centre this Thursday.

Shoppers can pick up tips on responsible drinking, avoiding fires when cooking Christmas dinner and staying safe during the party season.

A small number of personal alarms, key chains and safer screws, to avoid number plate theft, will also be available to pick up combined with the opportunity to sign up for a free fire safety check.

The event, at One Bell Corner in Dartford High Street, will run from 10am until 2pm with staff from Dartford Borough Council, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, North Kent Police’s mobile police station, Kent Connexions and North Kent Crime prevention panel.
