Parents have been warned to keep their children safe after a student was "asked to get in a stranger's car."
They received an email that detailed how a Wilmington Academy student was approached by a man who was "looking for directions" on Monday, at around 3.10pm.
The stranger, who has been described in the email as a middle aged, bald, eastern European man with grey stubble, allegedly approached the youngster in Heathcote Lane, Dartford, near the dog park, before asking them to get in his car and give him directions to Pencoat College.
He was "very persistent and persuasive, asking the student to enter his car three times" according to the school email.
It continued, claiming the man was driving a red Mercedes Benz E Class before warning students to keep safe on their walks to and from school and to report anything that "gives them cause to feel uncomfortable".
The incident was reported to police who have been contacted for further information.
