A survey asking for public opinion on where a new Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) should be gathered 2,000 responses.
Earlier this year people were asked whether they think the new centre should be at the Gravesham Community Hospital, in Bath Street, Gravesend, or at Darent Valley Hospital, in Darenth Wood Road, Dartford.
The NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) asked residents to fill out a paper or online form, which ended on Saturday, giving their reasons behind the decision.
Originally, the UTC was set to move to the Gravesham hospital, which currently boasts a minor injuries unit.
The Walk In Centre, which is located at the White Horse GP Surgery at Fleet Health Campus, in Vale Road, Northfleet, is set to move to wherever the new centre goes.
The CCG said the majority of people they asked about this were in favour of the move.
However, the option to consider Darent Valley Hospital as the location of the new centre became available, which the group decided to explore.
Over the past couple of months the CCG have been talking to public at various venues, including supermarkets, the Gudwara, Darent Valley Hospital and the Minor Injuries Unit at Gravesham hospital, to gauge their opinion.
Since the end date of the survey the group has been analysing the responses and feedback to 'help them shape options of they decide to take plans further'.
They will bring their findings to the Health Overview Scrutiny Committee (HOSC), to discuss how to move forward.
If they decide to progress plans, a public consultation will be held later this year.
