Two men have been arrested in Dartford on suspicion of drugs supply offences by police using stop and search powers.
The suspects were apprehended by patrolling officers at around 9pm on Saturday in Hythe Street.
Officers saw the two men, who were aged 28 and 30 years old, driving in a vehicle in the town and requested them to stop.
Upon searching the car, police found what appeared to be 65 wraps of white powder, a number of mobile phones and a quantity of cash.
The men were arrested but have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
They were detained under section 60 stop and search powers, which were in place across Dartford and Gravesend over the weekend.
Their use follows three recent unconnected serious assaults in the towns.
Section 60 allows officers to search anyone in a certain area to prevent serious violence and the carrying of weapons.
On Sunday police also stopped and searched a man while on patrol in The Hill area of Northfleet, at 12:15pm.
The 28-year-old was found in possession of around 30 to 40 packets of what was suspected to be class A and class B drugs, as well as cash and mobile phones.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.
The man has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
