Tony Burman wants his Dartford side to put their ‘terrible week’ behind them and concentrate on bouncing back on home soil this Saturday.
Darts are now just a place and three points above the drop zone – though they do have two games in hand – after three 2-1 defeats over the festive period. After last week’s reverse at Ebbsfleet, they lost to Welling on Saturday and Chelmsford two days later.
Darts have now lost four of their five in the league, letting in 14 goals during that time and have won just one in 10 league games.
Dartford manager Tony Burman said: "We are all disappointed and down with the results over the past week. It was a difficult seven days for us, facing three of the in-form teams in the division."
Dartford now face a huge home games against second bottom Thurrock, who have let in 13 goals in their last two games.
Tom Champion will miss both games after suffering a severe head injury against Chelmsford.
Burman said: "We’ve got to stay positive and stick together. There is a long, long way to go. It will be a long time before we need to start panicking. You don’t get relegated or win titles in January."
Tuesday's home game against Basingstoke has been postponed due to the visitors playing in a re-scheduled county cup tie.
