A tractor has burst into flames on a busy road.

The A20 at West Kingsdown is closed while two fire crews work to get the flames under control.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a tractor is well alight but the tank it is towing, previously thought to be a fuel tanker, is not on fire.

Crews are using foam to contain the blaze, and police are managing traffic.

Kent Police spokesman Andy Saunders said: "We were called at 11.52am by Kent Fire and Rescue Service to a vehicle fire on the A20 near West Kingsdown. Officers are at the scene and there are no reported injuries."
